MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 6.1 earthquake rocked elements of Davao Oriental on Thursday morning, the Philippine Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) mentioned.
In its up to date bulletin, Phivolcs mentioned the earthquake was struck at 5:57 a.m. northeast of Manay, Davao Oriental.
It had a depth of 21 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
It was measured at Depth IV in Manay and Depth II in Common Santos Metropolis and Tampakan, South Cotabato, Phivolcs mentioned.
It was measured at Instrumental Depth II within the cities of Davao, Bislig and Kidapawan.
Phivolcs mentioned aftershocks are potential, however no vital injury is anticipated.
