The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and the frontal system will set off rain in elements of Northern Luzon.
“Sa araw na ito, dahil sa epekto ng frontal system, ang Ilocos Norte, Batanes, at Babuyan Islands ay makakaranas ng maulap na kalangitan na might mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorm,” Pagasa climate specialist Aldczar Aurelio stated.

In the meantime, the ITCZ will affect Palawan, Central and Eastern Visayas, and Mindanao.
“Sa bandang Palawan, dahil sa epekto ng ITCZ, makakaranas din ng maulap na kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorm,” Aurelio said.

“Dahil sa epekto ng ITCZ, makakaranas ng maulap na kalangitan na may mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorm sa Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, at Mindanao,” he added.

The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
The country’s coastal waters will be slight to moderate with waves of up to 2.5 meters in extreme northern Luzon and up to 2.1 meters elsewhere.
Pagasa added that there is currently no weather disturbance in and around the Philippine area of responsibiity.
