The Gawad Tanglaw, or Gawad Tagapuring mga Akademisyan ng Aninong Gumagalaw, is a 19-year-old group composed of members of the academe, students, historians, movie critics and efficiency artists. It goals to “uplift the current state of media and performing arts within the nation, and acknowledge exemplary works in numerous media.” Accepting the award on behalf of the paper is assistant vp for company affairs Connie Kalagayan, who thanked Gawad Tanglaw for one more recognition of the Inquirer’s efforts and sense of mission.
